Tom Nevers was formed by four friends who grew up playing music together. Eventually writing songs together. Although the band is no more we are still friends and have played music together off and on. I've written and recorded some songs and would like to share them with the online community. I hope you enjoy them.
Why this name?
Tom Nevers is the name of the airfield from the TV Show Wings. For some reason we really liked the name and stuck with it.
Do you play live?
We have played live for many years off and on but at the moment we are not. We opened up for 3 Doors Down in our home town which is basically their home town although it was with our side project called Inspector Detector (a surf music band). We played with them after they were signed but before they hit it big. I think their first video came out a month after we played with them.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I believe it has opened an avenue to new and exciting music that would not usually be heard.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
At the moment I would say yes but my view on that has changed recently due to success of artists leaving their labels and producing albums like Radiohead.
Your influences?
Many influences from The Beatles to Eric Clapton.
Equipment used:
Fender Stratocaster and Line6 Vetta amp is my recent gear choices.
