I am a musician from Berlin, Germany who writes funny lyrics and playful rock music inspired by The Police, The Beatles and Queen and of course the German punkrock band Die Ärzte.
For my radio play trilogy "Die Pute" (www.die-pute.de) I composed one and a half hour of classical soundtrack using "leitmotif"s for the main charakters and even writing unique themes for action scenes.
Why this name?
My band is called So.
At first we named ourselves Feyd like the guy from Frank Herbert's "Dune" that was played by Sting in David Lynch's film adaptation. I chose this name because of its pithiness and that we played songs from The Police from the start.
Later we changed to So (German, with voiced s) to have our own concise name.
Do you play live?
Since 2005, where our drummer Jan left Germany to live in Spain we don't have been rehearsing any more. But I'm looking forward to have a new band with Simon.

In 2006 and 2007 my radioplay trilogy "Die Pute" (where you can hear some soundtrack from) was broadcasted by different regional radio stations in Germany.
Your influences?
The Police, The Beatles, Queen, Die Ärzte, Metallica, Knorkator, Django Reinhardt, John Williams, Ennio Morricone
