Spoken word poetry with instrumental, blues, rock, new-age and soundtrack music. While the main content is spoken word the songs are sorted into genres by the backing music behind the readings.

John Stigall was an author, poet, spoken word artist, and has served as a Professor of English and Literature at Chattanooga State Technical Community College from 1980-2001, where he was "Poet in Residence." John has authored five books of poetry. He has been featured in countless live performances, including radio and television appearances. In the 1990's, he teamed up with Losfer Words to record two CD's, merging his poetic works with their progressive new age and guitar music. John's CD's are available exclusively from Losfer Words Records by special order only.

John's first CD is entitled Into the Life of this World. The CD features poems from his 1991 book of poetry entitled Broken Mirrors Reflect the World. The books theme is how difficult it is to understand the full scope of God's purpose for our lives, because of our mortal perspective. The source of inspiration for this CD is derived this bible passage: When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known The CD chronicles the journey of a prodigal son "estranged from God and purpose" and caught between worldly temptation and a quest for a closer understanding of God's purpose for his life. The CD also features earlier version of poems from John's 2001 book Subjects for Other Conversations. The poems were recorded first in 1991-1993 and the music added later. The overall concept of the album is that "knowing" God's purpose is simply gaining a better vantage point of place to view your life from.

John's second CD with Losfer Words, Another Conversation with the Bard, was recorded in 1997-1998 and continues this theme of gaining perspective and features poems, which would later be published in John's 2001 book entitled Subjects for Other Conversations.
