Solo artist/songwriter. Things I call myself. Who knows if anyone else agrees?
Why this name?
We all hear stuff in our heads, few of us admit that the voices might not be from our own multiple personalities. I do.
Do you play live?
In my head.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Of course it does. Perhaps artist will start to reap more benefit from their endeavors rather than the mega-corporations.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Would they even want me? If ever I did such a thing, I'm known for reading fine print, verbatim discussion and asking questions. If I could be satisfied with the contract, yes I would.
Your influences?
Curtis Mayfield, Smokey Robinson, Eddie Kendricks, Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Barbra Streisand, any of the blues greats. Patti Labelle, Frank Sinatra, David Bowie, Lou Reed, Jimi Hendrix, David Ruffin. If anyone can tell which direction I'll come from or go to from this assemblage, I'd be delightfully surprised.
Favorite spot?
Waikiki with my love and my Hawiian family
Equipment used:
An old Korg DW 8000, a Fender acoustic guitar and Sonar.
Anything else...?
Will anything come of my efforts? Hope so but if not, I love what I come up with to the point that it keeps my motor running. If it does the same for anyone else, let's ride.
