NEWS   I am thanking the Lord for His blessings this year in every area of my life. I am praying that you will find Him in the beautiful creation around you, and that you will see His love in the people you meet, and most of all that you will know Him personally.

Hey out there. I just want to say thanks for stopping by my page!
My friend, Rochelle of Capture Me Studios took all the pictures you see on this website. She has the ability to see through the skin and connect with the soul inside the body. I never liked having my picture taken until Rochelle talked me into a sitting. To contact her, check out her website at: www.capturemestudios.com

I am a singer/songwriter from the Pacific Northwest. I write, play piano, sing, and believe strongly that there is beauty in all music. After all, we don't create music. God did that, so I try to see it the way I think He would.

What I write about is what I have lived. I don't write much fluff. I use a lot of minor keys, and I write a lot of slow stuff, but I am getting out of the box with the help of my friends!

I'll be posting new songs often, so come visit again, and since you are already here, please leave a note on my message board to let me know you stopped by.
Why this name?
Yeah, like it's my name right now...:-)
Do you play live?
I currently serve on the worship team at a mid-week 12 step service at my church.

I've played a few gigs at church, played for a couple of weddings, an anniversary celebration, and a birthday party.

I love participating in a worship ministry, and I write some praise and worship music as well as other songs.

I love to sing, so I hardly ever turn down an opportunity to do so-especially if it is likely to challenge me and strengthen my ability.
YEAH! I like it!

The best moments for me come when people ask me to play for a special event like a wedding or party. It is such an honor to be invited to contribute to something as personal and priceless as a family celebration.

My favorite moments of all time have been singing songs which I wrote for my friends' weddings. The most awesome experience I've had was when I wrote a song as a wedding gift for my friends Danny and Jena, and then they asked me to sing it at their wedding.

The only thing that comes close to that is when people tell me that the music I write, or the way I sing ministers to them. Every once in a while I hear one of my friends playing one of my songs in their car. I always get tears in my eyes. I can't believe how special that makes me feel that anyone would listen to my humble music over and over again on purpose!

As for playing live, the only drawback to that is having to talk to more than a couple of people at a time. That is NOT easy for me as I've never been much of a public speaker, so I feel very blessed that people still hear my heart and allow me to connect with them through lyrics and music.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Today's technology has made music way more accessible for people, but what it has done for the indie artist is really the big news.

People like me would never be able to do what we're doing back when I was "young".

The fact that we are able to network, do song critiques online, etcetera, have our music hosted by great places like Soundclick has made it possible for us to have a voice in a way that would have been impossible for the indie artist.

Local artists can expand their reach all over the world now, and that gives us a purpose and connection that we should never take for granted!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
hmmm.....maybe....I'm not really thinking about that.
Your influences?
I like Nicole Nordeman, Sarah Groves, Michael W. Smith, Pierce Pettis, Jan Krist, Steve Green, Toby Mac, Audio Adrenaline, Tommy Walker, so many more.
I love music!!

I also enjoy Mozart, Grieg, Beethoven, Liszt, and others.

Many influential people in my life you would not know by their names, but they have affected me just the same, and have a part in the music I write and perform.
Favorite spot?
Hmmm....how to answer this question. I suppose I can just answer it personally........

Okay, I absolutely am in love with the ocean.
There is nothing more wonderful than the feel of sand between your toes and watching the waves roll in. I have never had a chance to swim in warm ocean water, but I sure hope I get to do that someday.......
Equipment used:
I have a Korg Triton LE Workstation semi-weighted keys, and a Roland keyboard amp.
Anything else...?
I hope you will connect with what you hear here, and remember that the message isn't in the sorrows it is in the promise of joy in the morning!
