2 Complexx is a MI, born rapper/hip hop artist. Locally know for the song "Save the Baby". Now signed with Will Power Entertainment, 2 Complexx will be releasing the Cobbs Agreement Mixtape in a couple months....
Why this name?
I came up with 2 Complexx...well just listen. My lyrics are so different at times they are really complexx
Do you play live?
Yes. And i love it. The energy is what keeps me going....Proforming is the next best thing next to sex...lol.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I believe the internet give local and underground artist more of a avenue to get there music out there. A artist can be more independant.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, probably. But I guess it would have to depend on the Terms of the contract. A lot of times major labels try and take way the creativity of artist's artistic development.
Band History:
Hip-Hop is not the way is used to be. With every new rap artist bringing a gimmick along with lame lyrics, and a simple style. With a hard hitting, complex style, 2complexx is the next artist to look for. Often using his words to touch people, Complexx will and HAS changed the Rap Game entirely. Tyrone Childs (aka 2complexx) was born in Royal Oak, MI at Beaumont Hospital on April 16th, 1985. He lived in Detroit's northwest side up until he was ten years old, when his mom decided to move on up and ship to Southfield, MI. Although the move was a big adjustment for T.C, he became pretty popular among the surburnites and decided to try his hand at battle rapping while attending Thompson Middle school in Southfield. T.C had one incident during this time at Thompson, during lunch when he was called out to freestlye battle another local talent. T.C battled and won against this fellow class mate, thus making his mark as a battle rapper. Not to go unknown, T.C continued to battle and often winning cash prizes as a result of this remarkable talent. In the spring of 2000 T.C independantly released "Only Once In My Life Time", on Unpredictable Entertainment. The album, which featured AB the balla and many other well know (at that time) artists. The album sold 650 copies independantly. T.C (then know better as Complexx) sought after becoming a brand name in Detroit's hip-hop, only to become forgotton and lost in the has been's of rap. In the fall of 2003 after graduating from Royal Oak Kimball High School, T.C moved to Lansing, MI with his preganant girlfriend (at the time) to start his life as a family man, giving up on music entirely. After spending time on lock down at the Oakland County Jail, for the charge of Great Bodily Harm (less than the act of murder). 2 complexx decided to let his voice be heard once again, teaming up with hard hitting producer Olin and D.J Knice to prepare for his upcoming album. His highly sought after talent will be release on his album In Broad Daylight, which is being slated for a Spring 2008 release. D.J Knice and the Malitia Family are producing the upcoming 2 Complexx Mixtape, which will be titled " The Cobbs Agreement". Djay Soko, T.C, Olin, Malita Family, D.J Knice, Bishop Lamont (from Aftermath Entertainment), and many others will be going to work to make this Mixtape a smash. In the late summer of this year, 2 Complexx was released from Larry G Records after a concert mishap. Although the concert fiasco had nothing to do with 2 Complexx, Larry G release him anyway, which made it seem as if Larry G wanted to do it anyway. As a result of a past beef, Larry G recorded a song which was titled "Southfield bi***es". After speaking with Larry G after the song was recorded and released on Larry G's Myspace page, 2 Complexx took the record as a direct blow to his career, thus making the situation a little bit more tensed. No one knows what 2 Complexx will do next.
