Band History:
Chris Chattom
Chris Chattom is an electronic artist living in
Phoenix, Arizona.
"As a young kid growing I used to listen to the
Rolling Stones, Arlo Guthrie, Johnny Cash, Alice
Cooper, The Monkees, Paul Simon... anything I could
get my hands on- over and over (and over). Those were
the days... some of the best days of my young life!"
From foot pedals and 4-track tape machines to Atari
sequencing to digital editing on computers his studio
has evolved into what is now cc studios in Phoenix,
Arizona. Having done remixes for Aphex Twin aka
Richard James), Nellie McKay, worked with members of
Caterwaul (I.R.S. Records), Cavestar (Mindspore
Records) and played with the bands Acidtones, Joined
and FutureKind Chris has developed a signature sound
on the guitars. Chris is also featured on the
Clevinger website (www.clevinger.com) along with other
players of this wonderful electric Upright such as
Tony Levin, Ry Cooder, Adrian Belew and Sting to name
a few.
Chris has worked his bass and guitar playing into a
notable style that draws on many genres. Although
Chris is the guitarist of Can't Stop The Daggers his
role as guitarist, programmer, bassist, producer,
engineer, and general nuts & bolts guy all come
together to lend a certain style and sound to the mix
of the music.
Jon Partelow
Jon was raised by a troupe of Bonobos in Africa.
He recorded as Turn Cages for 5 years before moving to Phoenix in 2000.
See also releases as HELLbus 2000-2005. Songs from his solo project are littered on the int0rwebs and on compilations such as Sinewinder and SoundAid as well as dvds like West 49's "I am flow dvd".
Emily's Bio

Studied under Ernie Chavarria and Steve Millhouse on 5 string Fender Jazz electric, 5 string El Capitan Epiphone acoustic, 4 string fretless electric, and stand up acoustic basses.
Played various rock/jam bands from 02-08 until joining CSTD.
Taught private music lessons (theory and instrumental) from 02-06 to orchestra students (violin, cello, and bass) and private bass instruction for electric and stand-up basses. Plans to one day, take over the world.
Lionel's Bio:
It all started back in 1979, St. Louis MO, The Checkerdome (RIP) at the KISS concert. Lionel saw Peter Criss play and he was hooked. After several years, Lionel graduated from banging on the couch cushions. In High School: Lionel was playing in several award winning percussion ensembles, orchestral lead snare, timpani and a stint in the jazz band. He realized he was destined to hammer the skins and compete with Neil Peart, when his percussion section won the state high school competition. After a modest stint playing with Ft.Worth's Local Favorite "Drama Tiki" from 1995-1997, Bud moved to Austin to form the "Heart of Gold Band" and "Groovin Ground" (www.groovinground.com). By the time the bombs were dropping on IRAQ, Lionel moved to Dallas TX and hooked up with The Transcenders (www.thetranscenders.org). After a few years of regional success, The Transcenders parted ways.
The winds of change carried Lionel to the Valley of the sun! It is here, after 12 months of searching, the paths of destiny collide. After answering a Craig list add for a “drummer with soul who can hang like a downtown bro!â€쳌 Can’t Stop The Daggers is the latest stop in Lionel’s musical journey.
Bud's methodical timing reflects years of dedication to his craft. His unassuming, steadfast attention and keen sense of pulse and current anchors him as the heart of this rapidly pulsating, improvisational band.
Bands I’ve opened for:
George Clinton and the P FUNK ALL STARS, Jars of Clay, Col. Bruce Hampton and ARU, Walter Mitty, Larry, Little Sister, Beanland, De La Soul, Soul Hat, Mike Gordon (Phish), Bob Schneider, El BUHO, APT Q-52(Jeff Sipe), Olospo, Two High String Band, Cooper Uncle, Jimmy Vaughn, Carolyn Wonderland, Topaz, Particle, Sound Tribe Sector Nine, Grass, Sister Hazel, Tea Leaf Green, Olospo, Chris Holt, Drop Trio, Groovin Ground, Outformation, Danny Hutchins and Bloodkin, Daniel Walker, Shawn Nelson and the Ramblers, Moving Matter, Catfish Whiskey, The Radiators, The Slack, The Steps, Moses Guest, Spoonfed Tribe, Billy Joe Shaver, Roger Creager, Malford Milligan, Honeybrowne and Macon greyson
