GLEED IS NO MORE. I am now going under the name Jay Percival (My own name) You can find me at:

I'm a 26 year old musician who writes his own songs (Shock). I've been playing guitar for the last 11 years and producing tunes for the last 8. I play guitar, keys, synths, flute, drums, sing, write and produce my own tunes. I like everything from Drum and Bass to acoustic and jazz. I spent 4 years in a band and then 3 years producing drum and bass. But I have recently returned to my guitar based roots. I'm a civil servant by day and am really getting down to it this year to get a couple of albums done. I'm presently trying to get all my old acoustic songs recorded and up here.

Why this name?
I just liked the sound of gleed when I first heard it but later found out it means a burning ember in a fire.
Do you play live?
I occasionally play live in my home town of Stourbridge mainly doing acoustic gigs on my own. Playing a variety of tunes both covers and my own works.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Its given a global ear to music so you get to hear what people actually think of your tunes rather than just the feedback of friends and family.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yup
Band History:
1994 - 1997: Learning to play guitar and write songs

1997 - 2001: Played in GeeK as singer/songwriter/rhythmn guitar

2001 - 2003: Experimental stuff in a small computer based studio

2003 - 2004: Drum and Bass production (Trying to get signed)

2004 - Present: Gave up trying to get signed, got a job and recording when I can.
Your influences?
I liked alot of Lemonheads, Counting Crowes and Nirvana when I was younger but later got into dance music and production. I like the work by Damien Rice, Jack Johnson etc but still enjoy listening to old 70's funk, acid jazz and drum and bass.
Favorite spot?
Gozo
