I got the name "Mista Cofe" in college. I was "old school" and went by my given name Lamont C. My friends thought that was too boring, to old school, so they gave me the moniker "Mista CoFe" after I said that i was "black like coffee" in one of my rhymes/

The internet is a wonderful medium. Musicians from all over the world are able to share their works with each other and the rest of the world, without having to become a slave to the industry. And as you see now, even the industry had to adapt to technology. No longer can they think that they have this monopoly going. The game is changed forever.

Ehhhh. Im not in it for that. I personally dont even rap any more, but if any of the artists that I have worked with have that as their goal, then lets make it happen. Major labels still have their place at the table, and they are still eating very well, so I would collaborate with a major label in the best interest for the project that I am working with

My latest project in the works is "I Am Hip Hop Too" a Childrens CD. Its a Rap CD, but its really an Inspirational CD. Not Gospel Rap, it's just that the messages on the CD are uplifting and inspirational to children or all ages, and rap is the art form I use to get that point across......WHAT YOU HEAR ON THIS PAGE IS THE VERY(!)
