Why this name?
Its my name :-)
Do you play live?
I am currently playing in an 80s tribute band called Maximum Overdrive. We do covers of all of the big hair metal and hard rock bands from that era. Stuff like Bon Jovi, Poison, Ratt, Van Hale, etc... We have a ball playing those songs and the reaction to us has been amazing.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet really has opened up things for all artists. Now you can write, produce, record, and promote your music all on your own. That has never been possible in the past. I'm very exited to have the power to do all of this myself.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
That would all depend on what they were offering me. Ten years ago I would have jumped at the chance. But now I would really have to examine the offer and see if it would be worth it. So many artists get signed only to be completely ignored by the label. They wind up losing money and the record label owns their material. Not something I would want to happen.
Your influences?
Megadeth, Metallica, Skid Row, Motley Crue, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Avenged Seven Fold, Nickleback, Trivium, Savatage, Queensryche, 80s hard rock and heavy metal, etc....
