"Voices for Christ" started in 1999 as a singing group with a vision of having as many as 20 plus voices. This vision of many talented voices is yet to come to pass, but that has not stop, slowed, or deterred Gil Conrad Johnson from the primary odjectives. Gil has continued to play bass, keyboards, drums, songwrite, sing, with wife Terrie. Along with starting a new Ministry 'About My Farthers Business Ministries" to get the word out through music. Why this name?
Terrie came up with the name from the vision, and knowing so many talented singers and musicians
Do you play live?
We do play live; most venues are Churches, Concerts, and Festivals.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives artist like me and others to reach a wider range of people in different parts of the world. Which is a Blessing?
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
That would also be a Blessing...If the Record label do not try to implement too many changes to the Vision and Music of Voices for Christ.
Band History:
Gil Conrad Johnson, Tony Marriot, Don Thomas (drums+music arrangements "Jesus is my Rock"),Robina Jackson, Felton Brookter,have been playing and singing together for a great while. Even though other projects and touring with others caused some projects to slow but not cease. Gil has been the foundation,the rock, the captian of the ship that holds it steady during turbulent waters.
Your influences?
All the positive Artist that get the word out to the world. Jesus is our savior; and perhaps recruit many others as soldiers in the army for the Kingdom of the Lord. Your body is God’s temple.
