We are a progressive hard rock band trying to put out a new sound (as all progressive music does). We currently consist of Rich (Guitar, bass, sequencing) and Victor (Drums) and are working on filling out our lineup with a bassist, vocalist and maybe keyboardist.
Why this name?
Equestrian, also known as vir egregius, literally translates to "Excellent Man." Equestrian a musical reinterpretation of this concept.
Do you play live?
Not yet.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It allows bands to get recognition outside of their geographical area without needing the support of a record label. It helps expose talent, but it also creates much more music for people in general. Good for the public, not so good for those trying to make a career.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure.
Your influences?
Queens of the Stone Age, Tool, The Mars Volta, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, Porcupine Tree, Dungen, to name a few. Really way too much to list.
