Why this name?
G-Status/Mr.1985- Mr. 1985 came about just because that is my birth year. G-Status used to be a negative thing but i turned it positive. G stands for anything positive that starts with a G(i.e. Great, Good, Gospel etc.)
Do you play live?
I play live at church every Sunday, and at little gigs here and there. I'm aiming for bigger things because that's what I love to do.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's easier for people to be heard nation and worldwide without being on the radio or tv.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Not as an artist. I would have that label sign my label so I still make my own decisions.
Your influences?
All Gospel Singers, and the old R and B singers like the temptations, sam cooke, Dietrick Haddon and many more.
