How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It let's artists like a 50 cent and a Jay-Z know that they just can't trust their A&R guys anymore. The internet allows any artist to hear ALL the hot tracks out there. Pharrell and Timbo ain't the only producer/beatmakers with hot tracks to offer.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Not in this day and age of music. That 360 degree contract is wild. Right now, any artist can blow up just from using the internet...if they do it right. Think about it this way...if you already have 1 million people checking for your next single /cd to drop on your webpage why in the world would you need international distribution? You're already connected to the world.

Dr. Dre! Quincy Jones. Timbo. You know, ALL the greats. The list is endless.
