Dacalion (verb) duh-cal-yun - BRINGER OF FIRE
My music started in high school, I played alto sax in the band, I played bass guitar in the stage band, and went on to play in college. While attending NCA&TSU, I bought 2 turntables and it was on from there. I moved to NYC and was influenced by Red Alert, Pete Rock and DJ Scratch. 2 yrs after, I moved back to NC where I met MC Huggs and started DJ'ing in clubs and groups. Huggs took me to a studio where I knew that was my next step. I met Glenn Schick (one of, if not the top music mastering engineers in the field) who inspired me to get into the production/mastering area of music. The rest is history!
ALL BEATS MADE IN THE LAB
I can't really say that anyone influenced my style of music production. I will admit that Im still in a learning process but I assure you that Im getting better and better. Its very hard to explore NEW areas and become an overnight success. Thats not my intention either, I just want to do what I enjoy and hopefully someone will hear and appreciate the message that Im bringing through my music.
80% HARDWARE, 20% SOFTWARE ---HAHAHA This is funny because when I first joined Soundclick, this was state of the art, nowadays its 80% SOFTWARE - 20% HARDWARE.
If you're sick of the everyday stuff, take a listen to dacalion beats and leave some constructive crit. or praise. Its ALL about music 2010. -1.
