Illiter Eight is the name I go by. I'm a producer from Aylesbury Buckinghamshire. I experiment with UK Hip Hop adding different flavours from different genres.
I have been producing for just over 3 years now and formed Illiter Eight in 2006. I do most of my producing for a guy named Grizzle Emcee.

Why this name?
I chose Illiter Eight because i like irony. 'Illiterate' means you cannot read or write, so i spelt it wrong. Thats pretty much it!
Do you play live?
I haven't played live no, not really a producers place... But i would do it yeah!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the internet/mp3 thing has made it so much easier for people to get their music heard and promoted. BUT, the music industry and artists are losing SO MUCH money because of it. However i dont think major labels should sign people THEY think are good, i think the people should decide, and thats kinda what the internet has done i guess.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Too f***ing right i would.
Your influences?
My main influences are producers such as Timbaland, the guy is a genious in his own right... Scott storch, although he his a GEEK, i just respect him musically... Dr. Dre, J.D, Prince Paul etc. etc.
I listen to pretty much anything, so i get some influnce from metal bands such as Korn, System of a down, Devildriver, Static X, Linkin Park etc.

Lol... im broke as a joke... So at the moment its just a PC with Reason, Recycle and Sonar. I dont even have a MIDI keyboard anymore so i have to do things the LONG way!!
