Bill Creel
Why this name?
My mother chose it.
Do you play live?
I play live occasionally, mainly at open mics or sitting in with a band. I do enjoy being in front of an audience. It's always been that way for me. There's a good possibility that I will start another band in the future.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Yes, the internet has changed the music industry. I hear reports all the time about drops in CD sales. I think it's great that people can hear music and artists they would never have been able to hear a few years ago. I'm one of those they can hear now. I like being able to share my creativity.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would have to cross that bridge when and if it ever happened. I'm not looking to be a household name like Elvis was. I would just like to have some dedicated fans that truly enjoy the songs that I write.
Band History:
I was born in Dothan Alabama and spent my first 16 years there before we moved to Florida. I got my first guitar (a Sears Silvertone) and amp when I was fourteen years old. I was already being influenced by Elvis, the Everly Brothers, Jerry Lee Lewis and many more. I don't think there's anyone that love's music more than I do. Of course I know some people would argue with that. Not only do I love country music, I also enjoy other genre's as well. Listening to my music samples will clearly show other influences but in my case, they have a country flavor. I'm happily married. My wife's name is Penny. Check out my website www.billcreel.com and sign the guest book. I also encourage you to rate my songs as feedback for me and others. You can purchase tracks from mystore and Itunes or the entire CD from CDBaby. I'm currently not performing publicly. I've written a lot of songs and I currently have one CD available. I'm working on the second one now. I do my own recording, producing and mixing in my digital studio. I appreciate everyone's interest in my songs. Pass the word around.

Your influences?
I was influenced early on by Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, the Everly Brothers, Chuck Berry, and later by the Eagles, Jimmy Buffett, Van Morrison, Three Dog Night, CCR, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Vince Gill, Don Williams, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Alison Krauss, and many others.
Favorite spot?
I have traveled the world, so I have a lot of favorite spots. In the US, I like the Keys. I also enjoy the mountains in TN. One of my favorite places use to be New Orleans. I have been there many time. If the crime rate there ever goes down, I'd like to go back for another visit or two.
Anything else...?
I enjoy writing music and recording it.

A great song! As always with Bill, strong lyrics, rich vocals, memorable melody and outstanding production. We all feel better now, for having heard it! Thankfully those gas prices are finally coming down. Great job Bill. Shelia :o)
Bill...Your site looks great! As always, you are working diligently, adding songs and updating everything. Stop by and pay me a visit. This Southern Belle is singing rock...can you believe it! Paul Mcilwaine and I just completed a collaboration called "Get You Back In My Life" and I would greatly appreciate your comments. Many blessings and take care....
