I have been writing song for a long time. I have an interest in writing songs about a variety topics. I play electric and acoustic guitar along with other instruments. All of the instruments you hear on these recordings are me playing them except for the drum machine that is used and the bass machine that I use when I am not playing bass. These are my original songs. I have been writing songs for more than 25 years. Also I enjoy playing a variety of rhythmic styles. Some of the songs that I have written were inspired by my mother Mrs Deborah Chapman Senior who asked me to read certain things and then I would share with her what I wrote as a results of reading things that she asked me to read and we talked about what we read.
So this is my surprise for my family. After sending them tapes of my music over the years.
With my music I uplift, inspire, and encourage myself and you to face up to life's challenges. Because it's time to make this world a safe and happy home." Songs are written, arranged, produced and recorded by me.

The majority of people who, talk and sing about current events, politics, and new headlines are called concerned people who care about what is happening in our country. Musicians are known for singing about a variety of topics love. Some people who care about specific issues are some times called activist, some of them are called democrats and republicans and a host of other labels.
I personally prefer to be neutral so that I can sing about many sides of different topics. Which is why many people enjoy political commentary in music. I read about all kinds of topics and I do not agree with every thing that I read and I attempt to write about a variety of topics by learning about different points of views from not only reading but from my own ideas of possible discussions that can happen from writing things that people disagree with and agree with. Because I have been am interested in civil rights you could call me a activist.

Personally I do perfer to be not called a label I do use the term I have called myself a activist at times in conversations with people to see where they are coming from and gone to demonstrations to find out what people are demonstrating about and sometimes I have liked their cause and some times I have not. I do have many songs about activism like many musicians. And demostrators are known for inviting musicians to sing at their activities. The majority demonstrations that I have attended is from listening to them on the radio and seeing them on tv I have been to about 5 or 6 in person. However all of the politicial parties that we have are interested the people's rights and how we run our country, and the opposing political parties called them activist. And the political parties we have were started by what people call activist. This is why I said I am person who is growing and changing.

I was born in 1958. And I changed my name at a early age. I always wanted to be a songwriter and be like my mother who play music. I also started playing piano and later played guitar. My brother talked me about changing my name and my mother talked to me about changing my name too. But like many musicians who change their name many mothers call their children by their birth name. My mother is part of my inspiration and so are my siblings and my church that I grew up in. I sung my 1st solo in church. I have been performing for years and I know that I have still gettting my career going. I named one of my guitars after my brother James and I called it Jim. Because I noticed that BB King has a guitar with a female name and I wanted one of my guitar to have a male name. I thank the women who brought my 1st guitar and she asked me if I wanted her to buy me a guitar. I said that she said she would sponsor me to play music because that. And I am glad that she did.
