I have been playing music, ( covers and my own ) for a living most of my life. About 10 years ago I moved to Nashville, TN to pursue a songwriting career only to find I was too country. I played the clubs and honkey tonks around Nashville and down on Lower Broadway for about 2 years until I decided to buy a home here and had to take a regular job to satisfy the bank. Now circumstances beyond my control have given me a lot of free time, so after an 8 year hiatis here I am again, promoting my songs and my music.
I just released a new album called " 15 Years later ", and started reintroducing my first album called " Thanks For The Memories"
You'll find some of my songs are very traditional sounding, and some are geared a little more to the sounds of today, within limits. I don't write pop or rock and roll country. I try to write songs that are uplifting in nature, have a good beat, evoke emotion, songs that stick in your head, and you can't get them out, that the words are easy to remember, that you can actually hear, and want to sing a long with. I have found if you do that, you will always have an audience .

Why this name?
well half of it was my real nickname, and the other half was a name I really liked, and together the made a name that was easy to remember.
Do you play live?
I will be doing some songwriter nights here shortly, But I haven't put a band together at this time. I love to perform and be on the stage, to me it's home. My most recent special moment is haveing my song " Don't Hold On To A Memory " picked up by an internet Radio station called Ram Radio, and having it make it's radio debute at #1 the very first week it was played. That was pretty special.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet will change the face of the commercial music industry forever. When you realize that one company controls 98% of all the commercial radio stations in the USA, you begin to understand why they feel they can force feed us anything they want us to hear or buy. No one owns the internet, and hopefully no one ever will, therefore, on the internet, I can choose what I want to listen to from a large array of artists and genres. The Internet has given all artists , of all types, the ability to get their product out to the world, and compete with big businesson on a level playing field, and it is gaining in popularity everday.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably not, I never say never.
Your influences?
My music influences are the early traditional country artists like Faron Young, Marty Robbins, Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty,to mention a few, along with George Strait. I might add I have a few favorites in the old rock and roll genre also.
Favorite spot?
New Orleans! I love the area, the music, and I love the food.
