My name is Doug Weaver. I'm a songwriter/singer living in Nashville, TN. I've been writing music for about 8 years and lyrics since I was ten. My style is mainly country with alt and folk thrown in.
Why this name?
Because Hank Williams and Marty Robbins were already taken....oh yeah, and my family would get mad if I didn't use my name.
Do you play live?
Sometimes. I do open mics occasionally.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes unsigned bands more available to the public. A wider variety of music can be heard.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Your influences?
Just about everything. Country, alternative, folk, r&b, jazz, pop...anything with a beat.
Favorite spot?
Probably the Rockies...but I've never been there yet.
Equipment used:
Just a guitar and a computer. It's all very simple right now.
