I love to create.. I strive on the mistakes.. Its basically stuff you would record on low-fi equipment -tweaked.. anyWAY anyHOW!
Why this name?
That was easy..
Do you play live?
Yes.. but this is my solo project.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Anyone can be heard now thanks to the net.
Sad though- it has made us lazy and dependent.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Certainly..
Band History:

Christopher Baxter Music..
"Company of Big Beats"
1995-2000
was a five year project when i lived in Chicago that voyeured into fantasy, trance and drone. All the recordings I did at that time created the stepping stone for what my current sound is Christopher Baxter Music- which is all of the above.
The later days of "COBB" led to trip-hop and free-jazz with a complete band.
"American Sanyasi"
2003-2005
was a 2 year project of isolation that led to some pretty out there recordings-all recorded on a hand held Zoom PS-04
I have hours and hours of this stuff and by no means is the "Sanyasi" gone..
"Christopher Baxter"
1991-Present
All of the Above
Your influences?
The unexplained. Nature, the Cosmos. Ride, Seefeel, Sonic Youth, MBV, Glen Valez, Paid Pilots, Stewart Copeland, Company of Big Beats, American Sanyasi, Folking Dynamite, Jeff Beck,The Police- Zenyatta and Ghost ! The progressive French scene. The X-files -find the truth Scully and Mulder! Oh yeah.. Running, biking, swimming. Surfing when I get to it! India. YOGA and Bhagwan (GOD)
Favorite spot?
Indonesia was pretty cool..
Equipment used:
Cheap and free equipment for the most part..
Anything else...?
I have loads of original work to share..
Thats why I have 3 myspace pages-
To get the confusion out of the way, my three projects are of three different time frames of my music -linked in some way either through its roots
-indie folk or experimental,
electronic and electracoustic
- i'm always experimenting so I'll never be one thing or ever really stuck!
