description
From a recent gig. Video taken by someone in the audience, in 2 parts so the keys solo is cut short.
We are a group of musicians, who played together in a band called Plaine Olde in the early 70's. Reunited after over 30 years, we are making use of current technology to do what we were never able to do then; record our own compositions and those of the bands we always loved.

Originally two members, then three and now all the original six, we continue to evolve. You will find our recordings eclectic (in the least) and hopefully interesting.
Why this name?
A nod to the Gentle Giant album of a similar name. and it describes us well. The old band name, Plaine Olde describes us TOO well.....
Do you play live?
we re-formed to perform for a 35th high school reunion concert with 4 other bands. We've been in rehearsals for the past 10 months, have played out and have some gigs lined up..!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Good - you can distribute your music in ways not possible a couple decades ago.
Bad - tons of stuff out there, so hard to find what you like. Soundclick is a great place with all the different genres available.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I'd have our lawyer read it first.
Band History:
Originally formed during high school in the early 70's. A group of musicians with lots of talent and an expanding appreciation of the many musical styles outside the top 40. From jazz, to classical to blues to all the rock pioneers active at that time, we incorporated it all (and still do). Each pursued non-musical careers after college and lost touch until recently. Started making use of modern home recording technology to re-fuel the bug. Then reunited to play live again; what could be better than that after 30 years.?!?
Your influences?
Progressive rock, jazz, classical, blues, the whole spectrum.
