Brain Trauma are a hardcore underground hip hop group with several years in the game. Hailing from Charleston WV, Kasket Kyle and Toxik Flow are 100% brutal lyricism at its finest! if you like your hip hop rugged and raw, Brain Trauma should become a mainstay in your playlists!
Why this name?
We needed a name, we came up with a bunch, and Brain Trauma sounded the best. So we ran with it.
Do you play live?
We have played live well over 100 times. Mainly locally in and around Charleston WV but, we have been known to venture out to Huntington WV, Cleveland OH, Cincinnati OH, Columbus OH, Roanoke VA, Detroit MI, Tampa FL, and a bunch of other places.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It changes the need to spend a bunch of money on a flashy jewel case when most people are just going to rip the album to an iPod.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We would have to be allowed to have full creative control over our music.
Band History:
We have been together since Halloween night of 2002 when we did our first show at an all ages club. After that show, we and any other hip hop act were forever banned from performing in the venue again. But the city shut them down about 6 months later. So f*** that place anyways.
