I started playing in bands back in the 60s when I was 14. Through the years this led down many different paths... R&B (it was called "soul music" back then), blues, rock, a little jazz with lots of funk thrown in. It was a wonderful time in my life and I wouldn't change a thing, but let's just say "I'm glad I survived".
Anyway, in 1981, I quit performing, and left the music aspect of my life behind. There were times when the void in my life was overwhelming, but I moved on. I rarely picked up my guitar for over 20 years, but the sounds were still in my head trying to get out.
I'm still working on getting my guitar 'chops' back to respectability, for me this is the hardest part. We aren't as young as we once were... "Rust Never Sleeps".
My only need at the moment is more time to work on my projects. I'm just a 'workin' stiff' these days, so there just aren't enough hours in the day.

Why this name?
"bluzkat" came about from the artwork a friend of mine (Ray Lebert) did for a blues band I was working with in the late 70s. I've always loved the image of the cat with the shades (his original name was Maurice, like in Maurice the Cat... get it?).
Over the years, Maurice became known as "bluzkat", so I've adopted it. It's my link to my past, but don't let the name fool you... my musical ideas are quite varied, never quite sure what will pop out of my head. Although I'm sure there will be some blues guitar licks involved somewhere along the line.
Update: After not seeing my friend Ray Lebert for twenty plus years, we 'bumped' into each other on the internet. Ray reworked some of the 'original' bluzkat artwork and I now have a new logo. "Bluzkat Audio"

Do you play live?
I haven't played live in a long time. Right now I don't have any plans of that changing, but "never say never".
Anything else...?
