Jory Meisterheim is a one-man "orchestra" blending guitar and synthesizers. Genres include guitar rock, easy listening, new age, folk rock, and some alternative country.
Why this name?
My parents decided on this one, when I was born.
Do you play live?
Yes, I play live, with the help of a drum machine, and sometimes a cd with backup music on it.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The Internet provides an awesome opportunity for artists to get their music out there, but doesn't eliminate the need for hard work.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Only if it were to our mutual benefit.
Band History:
I've been playing guitar since the age of four, and am self-taught (with the help of some chord books, and some friends). Using keyboards and SONAR music software has been a relatively recent development.
Your influences?
Guitar influences: Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Chet Atkins. Keyboards & Synthesizer influences: David Arkenstone. Other influences: Moody Blues, Beatles, Byrds, and numerous others.
Favorite spot?
With my new bride..Judy.
