I lived a life that ended up being full of crime and and weed, it was a dead end, when I was in a Gang they named me Ivory, I nolonger live a life of crime or drugs ,I am now baptised in Jesus name filled with the Holy Ghost and God changed my life set me free of such a life, and now I am reaching out to them that are living a life I use to and to introduce them to Jesus.
Why this name?
When I was in tha Gang life the first gang I was in was mainly Black they called me Ivory,
when I moved to BC i got involved with a Native Gang I was the only white member, they called me Ivory as well. there is a story behind it all but I don't have enough space or time now to tell it all, so since my past of crime drugs etc. was related to "Ivory" when I came to God and got Baptised and received the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking tongues I became a new man like a catapillar changes to a butterfly, therefore I came up the name "Da Former Ivory"

Do you play live?
well I would like to I am just starting out. I do some of my songs at church I will be hopefully next summer and perhaps this summer street ministry. But none of this is for money only for God's Glory.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it is a awesome thing it gives opertunity to the little guy like me
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hard to say I am working on a CD now will be going to a studio, but I haven't had the oppertunity to sign, like I said I am mainly doing this to reach out and to tell people about a God who is real and powerful.
Band History:
History? Well I remember before I was a Christian I was in a studio making a CD our group was "Thug Ezzence" the guy at the studio told me to ditch my crew, I wouldn't so I didn't sign. Then when I was a christian I thought I would use this talent for God but My Pastor at the time shut me down, saying rap is not for God.........7 years later here I am, God says now is the time for my Apostolic Rap Ministry to be used. Just recently talked with that Pastor he heard some songs is 100 percent behind me now....thank you Jesus.
Your influences?
Back in the day before I knew God, I listened to "Too Short" "Tha Pooh Man" "2 Live Crew" 2 Pac "Snoop Dogg" Wu-Tang Clan" lots of others But after I became a christian I stopped listening to the negative stuff turned positive and listend to christian Rappers like "Prime Minister" Nu-Wine, Grits, Antonious and my fav T-Bone.
