Hey everybody~ *waves*
I'm just one girl down here in Maryland who loves to sing. :D
I've been performing for family/friends/audiences for as long as I can remember, and I've just been singing for my own entertainment for longer. But I'm relatively new to writing my own music; I've just been singing along to my favorite songs just for the sake of singing. But now I'm learning all sorts of new things, writing lyrics, (attempting) to write music, and just trying to be heard. I hope that you like what you hear and you'll come back for more~

Why this name?
Quite simple. I looked up "leather" in Japanese on freedict.com and got "kawa." And if memory served, -ko dictates feminine. Thus, kawako was born. :3
Do you play live?
I sing covers of Jrock/pop and anime songs for Otakon's karaoke and Otaku Idol (see the videos here). I love to perform live; it's so much fun to get the crowd involved and see their reactions first-hand. :D
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's a great way to awesome music from all over the word without the pain of going allll the way to the CD shop. :D And for those of us who don't have the luxury of putting out physical CDs, it's the only way to get your music heard. o.o
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If they have good terms, why not. But it's not like any label will take me, so whatever. :'D
Band History:
I've gone through about a million name changes, but my aim remains the same: to sing loud and proud! And recently I started really focusing on writing my own music, hence the creation of this account (check my innumerable cover songs here ^.~). History in the making, lovelies!
Your influences?
I listen to several different styles of music, but my biggest influencers would probably be artists like Miyavi, Gackt, BoA, Utada Hikaru, Mika Nakashima, OLIVIA, Leila Forouhar, etc.
Favorite spot?
Baltimore is great, particularly come Otakon time. :3
