I'm a DJ from the Nottingham. My work is electronic with a varying style, depending on my mood it could be trance or house. I like a whole host of music from the Artic Monkeys to Paul Oakenfold.
Why this name?
Inspiration came from a car magazine that was thrown on the floor in my home studio. I'm not sure about the reef part, I think it's because I associate reefs with sea, sea with beaches and beaches with summer - which I try to inject into all my music.
Do you play live?
I don't play live.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet makes it possible for anybody with a passion to get heard. Previously you had to convince a record label now you convince normal people and it's much easier.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would sign to a major record label but if a upandcoming label came along where I would have the chance to work with other talented artists i'd probably perfer that.
Band History:
I've been producing for about 5 years but only seriously for the past 2. I work full time so producing music is a hobby at the moment.
Your influences?
Ferry Corsten, Axwell, Fedde Le Grand, Paul Van Dyke and quite randomly Mike Oldfield.
Favorite spot?
The Square, Nottingham City Center
