21st Century Electro Soul!!

"isunray" - music that has meaning, feels tangible, and is most importantly homegrown. "isunray" develops organically (not just using loops and samples), keeps an ear to the groove and remains open to the true joy of music... collaborating and sharing with others.

"isunray" doesn't want to be labelled, the songs tell us which direction they'd like to go so don't be surprised if there's electro, house, blues, soul, r&b, synth pop and jazz to be found here.

It's all for the sake of the song.

"isunray" also features the lovely and immensely talented jade eru (jade eru).

If you want more "isunray" (bless you) check out (mp3.com.au) for the highest sound quality on the net (256kbps VBR) and (myspace).

Thanks for stopping by and feel free to drop us a comment or message.

If you'd like us to drop on your page please leave us a comment (or message) so we can return in kind.

Why this name?
We make music in the "sunroom" where we have the most beautiful sunray's in the afternoon, Jay loves macs......... so we have iSUNRAY. Plus we don't know any other groups with a name like ours :).
Do you play live?
Not yet. "isunray" can most definately play live and we're likely to be doing this for the first time when we have our EP release party early in 2008. Isn't that a bit a late you say? shouldn't you play live first? isunray says welcome to 21st Century Electro Soul.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well for a start the internet and sites like soundclick enable people from all over the world to share their music with others of a like mind and often get valuable feedback which helps the development of even better music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Not at this point however it could depend what's on offer.
Band History:
Jeremy (Jay) Hay has spent most of his life playing great music with great people (as a bass and keyboard player) - there's no doubt he's a "lifer". It's only recently though that the music technology and the internet has made making professional quality creative orginal music possible. This is the music that we make regardless of what's in style or hip because we make this from the heart (true soul) we will only share it with you if it moved us first.

"isunray" = 21st Century Electro Soul, you've been waiting for us.
