Band History:
Born in Trinidad, Mandoe learned early in life about sound and music, playing the steal drums with his father at carnival and from the early influences of the rhythmic sounds of the Islands. As an adult his love for music remained and Mandoe started to write his own songs following influences of Marvin Gay, Tracy Chapman, John Lennon and many more, creating his songs as a message to all people. His music can be described as a mixture of all modern sounds including alternative rock, and rhythmic soul, reaching out to people of all ethnic backgrounds, complimented by his tremendous vocal capacity. His first Album "If You Believe" features a compilation of songs written during the last years after returning to the United States from Germany where he had served in the US Military for several years. While stationed in Frankfurt Germany, Mandoe followed his love for music and sang live for European audiences in Dance Halls. For Mandoe, writing his own songs with a sincere message was more important than just having a quick dance hit. He stayed true to himself and his songwriting, and therefore collected a wide variety of songs mirroring so many of his enormous cultural experiences throughout the past and featuring a message of unconditional love, hope and compassion towards all. Mandoe has completed his well planned and well sorted collection of songs in strong relations to our times. He is fully prepared to devote himself to his performances and will surprise his audience with his great creativity.
