Joao Cabrita is a professional sax player from Portugal.

After 18 years of ongoing musical collaborations with almost everyone in the portuguese music scene he started composing at home in his spare time, and according to his state of mind.

There is no basic concept to this body of work – it just flows through and grows from this point on. It's almost like occupational therapy, where things happen just for the sake of it.



There is also an idea for the accomodation of other media, such as photography, video, painting, etc.
Why this name?
The Atlas represents in some way a map of human consciousness or emotions, and is supposed to have no beginning or end.
Do you play live?
Not yet. This is a studio project for now
