Worlds on Fire is a band formed out of the necessity to write good alternative rock songs with the flair of Jane's Addiction and the stylings of Audioslave, Foo Fighters and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Why this name?
It was taken from the title of a book and then slightly tweaked.
Do you play live?
Not yet. Just in the writing/recording/getting all our crap together stage. But we've two songs we finished in the studio and one demo you can listen to!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
By leaps and bounds. All the cool record stores are closing and Amazon.com has the market cornered. We don't mind, as an unsigned artist trying to get our stuff out there, but I can understand why the bigger national and international bands would find it threatening. I expect soon there may even be bigger changes as far as CDs, labels, record stores, etc. are concerned.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Definitely the right one.
