Al Watkins is a singer, guitarist, writer, producer, entertainer, and much more! This man from Wilmington, NC has seen a lot of highway in the past 50 years in the music field. He has played all genres of music and entertained millions worldwide with his recordings.
Some of the artist Watkins has shared the stage with throughout his career are: The late Marty Robbins, and Jerry Clower. He has opened shows with legends like Barbara Mandrell, Dolly Parton, the Kendalls, George Jones, Gene Watson, and many more.
Since he began recording Christian music he has been seen with Laverne Tripp, Doug Oldham, Brian Free, and others. He appeared as a presenter on the 2002 Christian Country Music Awards Show with the likes of the Late Dottie Rambo, Hank Jr., Ronnie McDowell, Del Way, Stella Parton and almost countless others in tow.
Outside the Country & Christian Music genre he has performed with or opened shows for Fats Domino, Louisiana Leroux, Black Oak Arkansas, The Drifters, The Band of Oz, Maurice Williams & the Zodiacs, Percy Sledge, Bo Diddley, and many other top East Coast Beach Music singers and groups.
