I’ve been singing other people’s songs as long as I can remember, and writing stuff for ages, but it only occurred to me to put the two together a few years ago. This is the first real song I wrote. I wrote it for my mother (who’s part Yugoslav) during the Kosovo conflict…but I guess that’s not the only thing it could be about.
I have a lot more songs now, which I just need to get around to recording, but people still seem to like this one the best, which is why it’s on here.
