What is SequencedLife? These are the sounds that make up the score to my imagination. When I am walking down the street, or riding to work, or just daydreaming off somewhere, this is what I'm listening to.
Why this name?
It was hard at first. I tried many names, most of the very stupid. The name SequencedLife came to me actually first as a screen name on AOL. It was only natural to apply it to my music afterward.
Do you play live?
No, I do not play live. The process I use to make my music is very time consuming and rather tedious. It would be next to impossible to re-create live.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The music industry is, I believe, going through a slow transformation (or reduction, if you will) into something less of an industry and more of a global community. Everyone realizes that musicians are making less and less money nowdays, and now, more than ever before, people are making music purely for their love of the art.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes. No doubt it wouldn't be very lucrative, but I don't really care about that. Suffice to say that I would be ecstatic to be able to pay the bills with my music... I guess that's what every musician wants, eventually.
Band History:
I've been messing around with the software for the better part of six years now, but it wasn't until around 2004 that I started to make any real music. A lot of old projects were abandoned, but a lot of them were polished and worked on as well. I consider those earlier forays a valuable learning experience, but not worth the effort of listening to.
Your influences?
Paul Oakenfold, Fatboy Slim, the Crystal Method, many of the lesser-known DnB & imd artists, Phil Keaggy, (one of the true great guitar masters) Dredg, (one of the best new bands ever) Joe Satriani, Collective Soul, Team Sleep, JasonC, etc.
Equipment used:
Dell Optiplex GX280 3.4HT running FLStudio 6. That's basically it, haha!
Anything else...?
Yes... Listen with an open mind!
this is me
