Inspired by the blues greats (Albert King, BB King, Freddie King, Albert Collins, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan), I've been playing the blues for over 17 years. From screaming electric to laid back acoustic picking and dobro.
Why this name?
Everyone needs a blues name. Sweetpotato Slim is mine.
Do you play live?
I play out frequently at local blues jams in Orlando.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Coupled with the ability to produce good sounding recordings at home, it allows midnight players like me to get my music out there.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure!
Band History:
Developed my blues chops through high school and later in college at Florida State University under the tutelage of Sir Charles Atkins, who runs the Blues Lab at FSU. I've been listening and playing the blues for years and just play from feeling now.
