The name was something I wanted because of its nature theme and its in the nordic tongue. FjellElv was originally going to be more of a viking/folk Metal project. Just a little bit of unknown information.

Fjellelv was never intended for live shows. It is a one man project and the only other involvement are a session drummer on certain tracks and some guest musicians from other projects/bands.

In my opinion it is truly a great thing for the artist. I see only opportunity in today's music world and the technology at our hands!

Not absolutely sure that is the path for FjellElv, but with a band that is for touring and experiencing all there is to experience in the music business I would probably. Making some money doing what you love is a good thing, nothing sellout about that, as long as it is your passion and you do it number one for you and your fans, and not just for the money.

I have always been mainly a metal fan and musician. I started out playing in thrash metal bands in the late 80's early nineties, and moved on to Death Metal bands. From there I discovered bands like Emperor, Burzum, Enslaved, Ildjarn, etc. In the last 10 years I would say most of my influences come from the Black Metal genre, and the dark ambient. I love the Ambient albums of Burzum, wongraven, Vinterricket, Old Mortiis, Etc.

I love being alone, and not to be cliche, but in the midst of nature is where I feel the best about life. Far away from the modern world and its chaos. Just to be alone at night in the woods looking up at the stars while the frogs and crickets chirp. That is where I find my greatest inspiration and peace in this world.

Mainly Bc Rich Guitars, Crate Amps, and a good deal of Pc software.
