Crazy Tom
NEWS   I have a new song...took me a while.

Check out the new techno tune 'Does It Have To Be' that I just put out this week. I am working on a couple of other tunes; hopefully they will be out in the next few weeks.

Also, the original and breakbeat single mixes of my new tune 'Daytona' are now available here on Soundclick. However, the full megavarsion can be found at www.crazytom.libsyn.com.

Feel free to listen and give me feedback! smile :)

I am Crazy Tom, a creator of emotional dance music, somewhat faster than the average tunes you hear on the radio. I relate to many styles, including trance, techno, and the happy hardcore genre.
Why this name?
I chose Crazy Tom thanks to the many people at my alma mater, Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey) who called me Crazy Tom because of my undying exuberance at football and basketball games.
Do you play live?
No, except I was excited when I got a piece of my music played on a college radio station.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It widens the variety of music that is out there for people to listen to. Because of the overdose of images and musical garbage that are forced down our throats throught the mediums of radio and TV, there is now more of a sense of urgency for artists who need to be noticed without being shut out by a piece of music that is released which includes a 4-measure sample from a horribly scratched record. Additionally, I think people are getting sick and tired of listening to the same five songs being played 15 times a day for three months. What the internet does is give those musicians who seem to have no chance a chance to finally be heard without being harrassed negatively by senior record executives.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If given an opportunity, yes. But let it be known that I want the freedom to create my own stuff, NOT what the executive's ears want to hear. I am not a Britney/Justin/J-Lo clone; I am Crazy Tom...myself...and that's all I need to be; not some image that gets promoted.
Your influences?
Anything dance/techno/trance/old school stuff.
