Shedidntcome formed in Naples, Italy, in the early autumn of 2003. We originally called ourselves Agent Orange. We came from extremely different musical experiences. I, Francesco Cavallo, was formerly the main singer and bass player of ONFALL (an hardcore-punk band) during the nineties, while Antonio Cicatiello played bass, guitar and keyboards in several rock bands.
Our very first self-produced demo, "The Vain & the Insane", released in the first months of 2004, was a mixture of rock and electronic influences. In the first months of 2004, we built ourselves our own home studio(The Dirty New Stable), producing our second demo, the 4-track EP "Health Club", where we started sounding more like eighties electropop (Depeche Mode and Ultavox-like).
The same attitude, with a darker twist, can be found in "Songs of the Broken Lights", our third cd, recorded in December 2004. In 2005 we produced our fourth demo called "Wicked Star" in which we exposed a new minimal pop music with influences from bands like Lali Puna. In the last months of 2006 we prepared a series of live performances related to "Music for Noplaces", a photographic exhibition by the artists Antonio Tascino (Tox) and Alessandro Abrusci.
In summer 2007 we have released "Soma", our first full-length.
Now we're recording some covers for our next live tour. The project is still work in progress but we have a name for it: "Originals are much better" :))

Why this name?
In the beginning we used the name "Serena Never Came" in order to celebrate the absence of our very first vocalist. Then we changed the name She Didn't Come, contracted in shedidntcome for ergonomic reasons.
Do you play live?
We prefer the atmosphere of small clubs and lonely places.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's a silent revolution! The music biz doesn't want to accept it (maybe because accepting it would mean accept its death by extinction) but we don't give a ____ anyway.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I don't think any major will never ask us to sign a contract because of our non-commercial genre. But I believe that a few bands are able to sell records nowadays and it makes no sense for a new band
Your influences?
Depeche Mode, Einstuerzende Neubauten, The Cure, Kraftwerk, The Smiths, DEVO, David Sylvian, The Residents, Fennesz
Favorite spot?
no way
Equipment used:
Drum Machine, ambiental noises, iMac, behringer pre amp, Shure microphones, Gretsch guitars.
Anything else...?
