The group I was with is The Kern River Boys
based in Bakersfield, Ca.

Why this name?

We first wanted The River Boys, but, we found at least seven pages of River Boys, so, we chose the river that flows through here, the Kern River.

Do you play live?

I have played live with my band "the Kern River Boys" many times but have since broken apart. We have played churches, the fair, and at festivals.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yes! For my songs only! I'm too old to tour again.

Band History:

We formed in 1996 just for fun. We put together some songs I had written, as well as Russell Jones, Rythym Guitar. Ted, piano player and I co-wrote a song and we started singing in church.
Then it was mentioned that we should do some studio work. We did in 1998. We put some songs together for our album. The album is called, 'The Wonder of His Love',
which is also a song I had written. It was named that because with all the trouble we had getting there, it was a wonder we were there. We broke up almost 3 years ago.

Your influences?

Country gospel, country with the likes of: #1 the Lord, Hank Snow, Ricky Skaggs, George Jones, Merle Haggard, etc..

Anything else...?

Too bad the band broke up or we might be playing in a spot near you.
