We are a 5 piece Guitar rock band based in Ipswich, UK. We have been together since Feb 2003 and have since played numerous gigs. Currenlty we play a mix of covers and original material, all influenced by a range of cool bands from the Who to Metallica!
We recently finished our first EP which we will be promoted and selling very soon!
We are Glen Carle on vocals, Peter Thompson on guitar, Justin Stephens on bass, Fiona Bladry on guitar and Jeremy Stephens on drums!

Why this name?
The band name came around from a rehearsal a while ago, we were all jamming different songs and one of us commented that it sounded like a "haze of noise", it just stuck from then, although it is spelt differently (HAYZE)
Do you play live?
We do play live, we are performing at all the pubs and clubs in the suffolk area that we can, then once we have got ourselves some avid followers wer are going to hit the rest of the country playing all original material! Playing live is great because you get a buzz off the crowd and it just adds to the atmosphere of the night - each one is differen!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is a great way of getting our music heard all over the world. People can find out about us on sites like this and download our music! we could have fans in Outer Mongolia before we know it! World tours will beckon!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, of course! If you wanted to get to a wider audience as possible then going major is the only way really. Having said that Rough Trade seem to be able to pull it off pretty well and they are a great indie label.
Band History:
Before the birth of Hayze, the band were known as 'Session A' and although they weren't gigging, were getting close with a set that mixed covers with a few originals. Drumming for the band at this time was Ryan Fenton, but he soon left. This meant the remaining 3 members (Glen, Peter and Justin) needed to find another drummer and decide whether they wanted to carry on under the 'Session A' handle.
After scrapping a Saturday rehearsal to go searching for a new skin hitter, the guys came across an advert for a guitarist and drummer offering their services. One call later and the wheels were in motion for the first rehearsal as a five piece. New drummer, Chris, didn't really work out but guitarist Fiona was a hit and decided to remain.
At this point Justin thought it might be worth drafting in his brother (and twin) Jeremy, who wasn't bad behind a kit. A few rehearsals later and HAYZE were born!
Fast forwarding a few months and Hayze have already developed a following and are wowing the local pubs and clubs with their blend of original and classic rock songs. The futures bright.........
