The word band, for me, could be a little misleading. I bill myself as a solo quartet. I do all the tracks, lay them down, and then play live with it giving the sound of anywhere from 4 to 10 instruments playing. I have done over 600 arrangements this way and over 160 original pieces..jazz, Latin, ballads. I have now completed a muscial/lyrical story and working on the second one.
Why this name?
CB stands for Cove Bay..a name the kids picked out and is now the record label. You can guess the keyz part.
Do you play live?
Play live, mostly corporate functions. Have also played in a number of cafes/restaurants/hotels.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives one a very broad audience to perform for.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the opportunity came along...sure!!!, but mostly as a songwriter rather than performer.
Band History:
I have only been playing 4 years (self taught) and professionaly for about 18 months. During that time, though, I have recorded 16 cds, including a children's one and 2 with all original songs. I also have written a musical - story line and 40 songs matching scences..still puzzling over lyrics.
Your influences?
During my 'recovery' period (following the accident) I spent a lot of time at Starbucks. I wrote 12 short stories here and the music in the background led me to jazz.
Favorite spot?
Love the Canary Islands (Tenerife), Quebec City, the Maine coast and California

Many of my songs are well suited to tv/movies...I guess I just need someone to listen to them.
