Live from the streets of Omaha (or the burbs!) just kickin sh*** for fun (that is until they pay us for it!)
Why this name?
The name Brotha Budget came from a nicknamed originally dubbed on me my friends. My friends back in the day used to call me Curtis Jackson (after 50 Cent) but after hearing the Mobb Deep song where they go, "Curtis billion dollar budget Jack" I was like no man, I'm Curtis Billion Dollar Budger Jackson. That had been my name since and then I met this dude named Erceel (who is now a close friend). And he was like, 'Whaddup Brotha Budget!' and it just stuck. It became my radio DJ name and then my rapper name.
Do you play live?
So far we really don't have much to play live, so that'd be a no. But eventually we'd like to get some gigs in Omaha and expand to a full country tour.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Internet plays a huge role in an artist's development, today's artist's just need to learn the ins and outs and what works and what doesn't.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Who knows, there's no offers yet but who knows what's to come.
Your influences?
Artists I grew up on and love: KRS-One, Atmosphere, Eminem, Obie Trice, Young Buck, Lil Wayne and of course TuPac

As for inspiration?: Daily life, family, and friends.
Favorite spot?
Omaha, hands down.
