We get billed as a "stadium style rock band" - but we call our music Visionary Rock.

It's passionate, melodic, hard guitar rock with mystical positive lyrics... Part classic rock, part poetry. Kick ass female rock vocals, and coming from interests in stuff like quantum physics, science, mysticism & expanded consciousness.

It does have more than a touch of old school classic rock, but hopefully with a loving nod to all our other influences, musical and vibrational.
Why this name?
Three years ago we chose something simple... for now. Haven't gotten round to changing it.
Do you play live?
Yes, we've played large stages and tiny dives, anyplace that's cool. Lots of fun moments opening for major acts and also amusing times watching an entire sleazy bar turn into a brawl...

We are very much into playing benefits for environmental, animal, and progressive causes (we have a page devoted to benefits on our website), so if you're someplace close enough and want us to play, contact us!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Artists are in much more control than in the old days of brown-nosing to A&R guys. Love that...bypassing corporate music lets us be more genuine.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Oh no, not naive enough for that anymore. We wouldn't touch that.
Band History:
There's a full band bio on our site http://www.rockscarlet.com - and also a blog on Scarlet's site, http://www.scarletjinn.com
Your influences?
zeppelin, rush, dio, doro, deep purple, glenn hughes, david coverdale, with a dash of clash
Favorite spot?
For beauty, the pacific northwest of the us, so far...which is why we live here. For political realities, well, someplace outside this country. :-(
Equipment used:
lots of vintage gear mostly
Anything else...?
The blog here will probably not be updated too frequently - there's a blog by Scarlet at http://www.scarletjinn.com that's updated constantly, and crazily. Drop by, leave a comment...
