Light Longing
Catya Maré is a critically acclaimed, multiple award winning composer, violinist, music producer from Denmark who is now living in Los Angeles, California.
She has performed as a classical violinist since her early childhood, held the position of an alternating concertmaster with Aarhus Symfoni Orkester (DK) and has done numerous performances at concert halls and major museums, such as National Galerie Berlin and?Kunsthaus Z?rich.
Catya Mar? started composing / producing her own music (orchestral / ambient / electronica / pop) in 2005.
She was nominated for the Hollywood Music Award in November 2008 and won the Billboard World Songwriting Contest in February 2009.
November 19th: Catya Mar? won the Hollywood Music in Media Award in the category "Ambient / New Age".
The award show took place in the famous Kodak Theater Complex, Hollywood, on November 19th. 2009 and will be televised in 18 countries, including the UK.
Her third album "Destination Love" will be released worldwide in February 2010.
