I chose the name Rout because it's very simple and original, you remember it when you hear it and it has that sort of retro sound to it that i like. I came up with the name when i used to be in a small graffiti community in which my nickname was 'Routez'.

I think that the internet is a way of showing the world different aspects of music - it can influence people's musical tastes hugely and also offers a much greater choice in music than regular record stores. I would say that if anything, the internet has a very positive effect on the music industry.

As of July 2007, i have only been producing for about a year. I started by teaching myself the basics on FL Studio, creating beats and intros etc, which i would keep until i thought of a tune that went with it. I still use this technique now because it is alot faster than making tunes one by one.
