We are the Desert Eaglz. We're a small music group based in Gilbert, Arizona. We make sweet baby making music of all shapes and sizes. We love skateboarding and making videos of all sorts.
Why this name?
The to foundind members chose the moniker one day while talking on msn messenger due to they're current position in the Arizona desert and they're want for a representitive animal.
Do you play live?
We don't play live yet, but we possibly might in the near future.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It can be a double edged sword. It helps the unknown get discovered, but it hurts the already major artists in terms of record sells.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Possibly.
Band History:
D.E. was formed in late 2005 by Gordon Beaver and Shawn Paul Islas. It was they're mutual friendship and liking for the Hip-Hop/Rap styling of music that made them decide to start recording songs of they're own. And it was Shawn's (a.k.a. Tall Tee) ear for the Houston, Texas underground scene that set off the group as a freestyle rap project at first. They continued on as a duo until they started yearning for a new, third member. They were originally looking for someone who could sing more R&B/Urban style hooks and chorus lines. That Was when Eddie Gonzales (a.k.a. Tall Shasta) was recruited into the Eaglz. That formed the base music group that still stands to this day. Presently, there are D.E. side projects galore. Incorporating their mutal love for skateboarding, they have started a loosely based skate crew that consist of several talented Gilbert locals (AJ Cardoza, Brandon Foutch, Killian Kelly). Skating has also become a major theme in the music. Video production has also become a big branch off. Musical side projects include justpasteight and the short-lived Beaneath Dying Skies. All in all, the Desert Eaglz continue to grow in both recognition and musical talent as time passes, all while branching off into other fields of intrest.
