The name of the band is always Paul Cavin and...(whatever band has been contracted to back me)
Do you play live?
150 or so gigs a year;all over Southern California;the most recent"special moment"was singing the National Anthem for the NHRA Finals at the Los Angeles Fairplex in Pomona,CA;Saturday November 10th.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Exposure,exposure,exposure,like location,location,location...along with a 5 figure income for royalties in additon to the live gigs(also in 5 figures)and you're not on a major label..
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Only if they can come up with something I can live with.
Band History:
Started singing when I was 12 on the island of Maui in Hawaii.Entered talent contests;performed for weddings & special events..went to college in Southern California where I did demos for A&M,Mike Curb,and Warner Bros Records. Got into nightclubs when I was old enough and eventually started my own label;Disc'n'DAT Records.All my CD's are available @ www.discndatrecords.to; including Perilous,Whole9Yards,My Faithful Concubine,PiLive and more...
