“I feel as though my connection to the universe and our collective soul is through the vital creation and performance of music respectfully accessed through the spirit channel..” –Anela, of SCORPIO RISING
Why this name?
We needed something that symbolized the polar nature of ourselves; negative forces of life that pull us away from our true being, and the positive strength of the golden phoenix who rises from the ashes of the sinister scorpio. Lightness from darkness and the struggle between the two forces...the never ending battle of being human.
Do you play live?
Yes, we have played at various venues in the U.S. and plan to tour in the summer of 2004.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
mp3 is the new platform for democracy in a world of corporate domination
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
perhaps.
