Don't Cha Know My Race
I go by the name EST 86. I am into and inspired by all types of music. I've been writing since 13. EST 86 promotes individuality and freedom for those who are patronized for straying away from racial stereotypes. The message simply is to be yourself and to always be proud of who you are, not who you're told to be.
No genre is spared, music is music to me. I'm an emotional dude, so you'll here a song screaming about how the world's messed up, and then you'll hear me signing about some girl I didn't talk to because I was a whimp...oh well, that's life...

Why this name?
EST 86 stands for Established in 1986. I proclaim that I am a true individual who broadens horizons and strays from seclusion in terms of people and their customs. So basically it's short for, "Individually established since 1986", hence EST 86 (say VEST, then drop the V and finish the word).
Do you play live?
I don't play live, yet. I'm working on that. I played live with my old band; playing live is the most amazing feeling ever, and I want to feel it again.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Anyone can get their message out, and that's a very beautiful thing.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Oh man what a dream. Hell's yeah I would ( I would sign with any label, if the terms and conditions where correct).

SOAD,Prince, Hawthorne Heights, Linkin Park (!), The Roots (!), Common, Mos Def, Underoath, Disturbed, Sex Pistols (more for their image).
There's alot of guitar, especiallly power chords; sry to those who expect crazy ass solo's. I'm more of a songwriter, so I just write what I feel, and come up with the best sound that portrays that message and feeling...
